Sometimes when you have just received a great amount of trauma and stress, a part of your brain goes into heightened auto pilot, allowing you to do things you ordinarily are incapable of doing especially on very little sleep, so that you can survive whatever you need to in order to take care of business. To just get past it. And then the other part of your brain–the side that absorbs such shock–goes into uber-veggie mode, and all you do is…not think. One side allows you to do, do, do and the other just mush, mush, mush.
Checks and balances, you say. I say it’s my excuse for my shopping loot. I swear, it had nothing to do with thinking. I was just mushing when I handed over my credit card.
Let’s enjoy the eye candy, shall we? A couple of versatile jackets…and one of my favorite dresses and I’ll post “after” shots once the straps have been properly fitted.
And here’s a turquoise ostrich feather dress from last year’s collection that finally got marked down. I did NOT buy it but thought it’d be fun to try on a dress that costs as much as a car!
I still have to unwrap and photograph a few more pieces, so I’ll save them for another entry.
So back to work for me, but again, I thank all of you for your continued support and concern. We are managing one day at a time and still feel tremendously blessed in spite of all the upheaval. My silver linings only become more golden the harder they are to find among murky clouds. And I wouldn’t be able to feel this way without all of your positive energy. Life is still beautiful even in pain.
