May Is for Family: Dallas

My luck for favorable weather held up by the time I made it to Dallas.

It was warm without being uncomfortable and made the perfect ambiance for our belated Mother’s Day and early Father’s Day brunch at the Four Seasons.

Sure, we were all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed here before the first round. My dapper dad really enjoyed the succulent crab claws (which made up his second and third rounds).

I confess I also went back for the claws, but it was the banana pancake that did me in (ahem, twice or thrice). And by the fourth or fifth round, I was thanking my lucky stars that I had on a dress with stretch in the fabric! Definitely not bright-eyed and bushy-tailed anymore after all this food. We all needed a nap at this point but already talked about coming back here for Father’s Day!

Anyway, what was the outfit of the day? A floral cotton dress from Zara (a recent discovery and obsession of mine) and the Hermes Jypsiere messenger bag, which I love but do not find versatile enough to transition from going to work to going out:
